# Topic and prompt reports

> Compare your results across topics and prompts, and drill into a single topic or prompt to see who wins and why.

The dashboard shows the overall picture. The **Topics** and **Prompts** pages break it down by subject and by question, which is where you find out what to work on.

## The Topics list

**Topics** shows every topic in the project with its results for the selected period.

At the top, four summary tiles: **Total Topics**, **Avg. Visibility Score**, **Topics Visible** (topics where your brand was named at least once, out of all topics) and **Avg. Position**.

The **Tracked topics** table lists each topic with:

| Column | Shows |
| - | - |
| **Visibility** | Your [Visibility](https://docs.echod.ai/metrics/visibility.md) across the topic's prompts |
| **Trend** | How Visibility moved over the period |
| **Position** | Your [Average Position](https://docs.echod.ai/metrics/average-position.md) in the topic |
| **Prompts** | Number of prompts in the topic |
| **Regions** | Regions the topic is tracked in |
| **Last Crawled** | When the topic was last crawled, or **Scheduled** if it has not been yet |

Expand a row to see its prompts with their own position, intent and last crawl time.

Use **Search topics** to find a topic by name, and the visibility filter to show only **High (66%+)**, **Medium (33-65%)** or **Low (0-32%)** topics.

## The Prompts list

**Prompts** lists every prompt across all topics, with its topic, intent, Visibility, Position, status and last crawl time. Summary tiles show the total, the number of active prompts, the average Visibility and your **Top Performer** prompt.

Filter by text, topic or intent to compare kinds of questions. For example, filter to **Commercial** intent to see how you do when buyers are actively comparing options.

## Topic and prompt detail pages

Click a topic or prompt to open its detail page. Both have the same layout.

### Charts

| Chart | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Visibility** | Visibility over time for you and your tracked competitors |
| **Share of Voice** | How brand mentions are split, with untracked brands grouped as **Others** |
| **Average Position** | Where each brand ranks over time; lower is better. A line drops to **∞** on days the brand was not named, and a brand never named in the period has no line. |
| **Sentiment** | A gauge per brand, with 50 as neutral and the number of mentions behind it |

### Top Brands

Every tracked brand with **Visibility**, **SOV**, **Sentiment** and **Avg. Position** for this topic or prompt. Click a column header to sort.

### Top Domains

The domains AI platforms used most for this topic or prompt, with how often each was **Retrieved**, its **Citation rate** and its domain type. See [Source metrics](https://docs.echod.ai/metrics/source-metrics.md).

### Recent Chats

The individual answers behind the numbers: platform, a preview of the response, the brands mentioned, your position, the number of sources, the region and the date. Tick **Brand mentioned** to show only answers that name you. Click a row to read the full answer. See [Chats](https://docs.echod.ai/analyze/chats.md).

Use the export icon to download the chats as a CSV file.

## Put it to work

* **Find the weak spots.** Sort topics by Visibility and start with low-visibility topics that matter commercially. Inside them, look for prompts where competitors rank and you do not appear.
* **Read the answers, then the sources.** On a weak prompt, open a few chats where competitors are named and you are not. Then check **Top Domains**: those are the sites shaping the answer.
* **Compare intents.** If you are strong on informational prompts but weak on commercial ones, AI platforms know what you do but do not recommend you. Comparison pages, reviews and listings tend to influence commercial answers most.
