# Welcome to Echod

> Echod measures how AI platforms talk about your brand - and these docs show you how to get the most out of it.

More and more buyers start their research by asking an AI assistant instead of typing keywords into a search box. The answer they get names a handful of brands, links to a few sources, and frames each option in a particular light. If your brand is missing from that answer, the buyer may never know you exist.

Echod puts numbers on that moment. It sends the questions your buyers ask to six AI platforms - ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot - on a fixed schedule, reads every answer, and records which brands were named, in what order, in what tone, and which websites were used as sources.
