# Use Cases

> Example questions and workflows for the Echod MCP server. Browse by type if you need ideas on what to ask.

Any project can answer these from its first published crawl. Copy one into your assistant, or use them as a starting point for your own questions.

## Visibility and competitors

* "How visible is our brand across AI platforms in the last 30 days, and which competitors are ahead of us?"
* "Which AI platform mentions our brand most, and which least?"
* "Which competitor is mentioned first most often in AI answers?"
* "How do we compare against \[competitor name]?"

## Topics and gaps

* "Which topics have high competitor visibility but low visibility for us?"
* "Which topics rose and which fell compared to the previous period?"

## Sources and citations

## Monitoring workflows

Combine questions into a routine, or let a [ready-made prompt](https://docs.echod.ai/mcp/prompts.md) do it in one step:

* **Monday briefing**: "Run the Echod weekly pulse" - this week against last, competitor moves, the topics that rose and fell.
* **Product check**: "Run the Echod product scorecard" - your products in AI shopping results and one weak product in depth.
* **Launch check**: "Run the Echod campaign tracker for our launch on \[date]" - before and after, within the last 90 days.
* **Quarterly prompt review**: "Run the Echod prompt grader" - grades your prompt set and names the top three fixes.

## Tips for better answers

* Name the period: "in the last 30 days" beats "recently".
* Name the platform or region when you care about one: "on Perplexity", "in Germany".
* Ask the assistant to show the answers behind a number when something looks off; `echod_get_chat` returns the full text with brands and sources.
