What you can do
- Check brand visibility on each AI platform your project tracks: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot
- Compare against competitors on share of voice, position and sentiment, for every tracked brand
- Find your gaps: the topics where competitors are named and you are not
- Analyze sources to see which domains and pages AI answers cite, and where your site is missing
- Track your products in AI shopping results: which products appear as product cards, their win rate and position, and whose products are shown instead
- Read the actual AI answers behind a number, with the brands and sources they name
- Spot what moved: rising and falling topics, new competitors, new sources
- Compare side by side across AI platforms, regions and time periods
- Run ready-made analyses with built-in prompts like the weekly pulse, platform scorecard, product scorecard and campaign tracker. One command, full report.
How it works
1
Connect
Add the Echod MCP server to your AI tool using the server URL from Settings > MCP Server; see the setup guide for your exact client.
2
Sign in and approve
The first time your assistant connects, it opens Echod in your browser. Sign in and approve it - no token to copy.
3
Ask questions or run a prompt
Free-form questions:
- “How visible is our brand across AI platforms in the last 30 days?”
- “Which topics have high competitor visibility but low visibility for us?”
- “Which of our products show up as product cards, and who wins the first slot?”
Connection details
Your tool may ask for these details:Authentication
Assistants connect by signing in: the first connection opens Echod in your browser, where you approve the app. The assistant then acts as you and sees the projects you can open, nothing more. Approved assistants are listed under Connected apps in Settings > MCP Server, where you can disconnect any of them at any time. For scripts, CI and agents you build yourself - anything with no browser to sign in with - create an access token (echod_pat_...) instead and send it as a bearer header. See scripts and automation.
Read-only access
Every tool is read-only: your assistant can ask, never change. Requests are rate limited; when a limit is hit, the response carries a retry delay and your assistant simply waits.Supported platforms
The server works with any tool that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol). The setup guide covers:- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, mobile, Claude Code)
- ChatGPT
- Cursor
- VS Code (GitHub Copilot)
- GitHub Copilot CLI
- OpenAI Codex
- Windsurf
Requirements
- An Echod account with at least one project
- A supported AI tool
What it cannot answer
- Website traffic, search rankings, sales or conversions: Echod does not measure them
- Live answers: it reads what the AI platforms said in your crawls, not what they say this minute
- AI platforms or regions your project does not track
- Anything older than the last 90 days
- Projects you cannot open in Echod
