A crawl is one round of collecting answers: every active prompt, on every enabled AI platform, in every enabled region. Crawls run on their own; you do not need to start them.

How often crawls run

Each project is crawled on its schedule, which is daily on every current plan. A new project’s first crawl starts as soon as you finish setup. There is no button to run an extra crawl. Changes you make to prompts, topics, competitors, regions or platforms are picked up by the next crawl.

The crawl status card

The card at the top of the dashboard shows where the project stands:

The first crawl

Until a new project’s first results are published, the dashboard shows a progress card instead of widgets, with a count of answers collected so far. During this time, only Dashboard, Billing and Help & Support are available in the sidebar; the other pages unlock when the data is ready. If the first crawl cannot be completed, the card says so. If it stays that way, contact support.

When data stops moving

If your numbers have not changed for longer than a crawl cycle, check these in order:
  1. The crawl status card. It tells you whether crawls are running, paused or have nothing to do.
  2. Project status. A paused project does not crawl. Resume it in Project Settings > Project.
  3. Plan coverage. Prompts marked Over plan limit, regions or platforms marked Not crawled, and projects marked Not in plan are skipped. See Plan limits and coverage.
  4. Subscription status. When a trial ends or a subscription becomes inactive, crawling stops. See Manage your subscription.
  5. Paused topics and archived prompts. They are not crawled by design.
